Permissions & Accessibility
Infinite Screenshot needs a small set of Android capabilities to automate the scrolling capture you explicitly start. This page explains what they do and what they do not do.
Accessibility Service
The service enables the app to issue the scroll actions required to move down a supported page during a capture session. The app is designed around a user-initiated, narrow capture workflow rather than autonomous device control.
What we do not use Accessibility Service for
- We do not use it to prevent you from disabling or uninstalling the app.
- We do not use it to change unrelated system settings without your permission.
- We do not use it to autonomously initiate, plan, and execute unrelated actions.
- We do not use it as a cloud collection mechanism for the contents of your screen.
Display over other apps
This permission lets Infinite Screenshot display the floating GO and capture controls while another supported app or page is visible. You can turn this permission off from Android settings at any time.
Screen capture and stitching
A capture necessarily processes visible screen frames in order to produce the long screenshot you asked for. Those frames are processed for the capture and the resulting image is stored locally on the device. Be mindful when capturing pages that contain passwords, financial information, private messages, health information, or other sensitive content.
Your control
You choose when a capture begins. You can stop/cancel the capture using the available controls. You can also revoke Accessibility Service or overlay access from Android settings.
